Fundare was founded by the experienced management team behind the successful Fifth Creek Energy Company and the four Bonanza Creek Energy companies. Our management team has operated oil and gas assets for nearly two decades.
Mr. Starzer has 36 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has served as a director for multiple private and three public companies. In 1999, Mr. Starzer co-founded the first of five “Creek” companies where he served in the positions of Chairman, Founder and Managing Partner, President and CEO, and, as a director on the board for each company. Through equity investments of $753 million over a 20-year period, the Creek companies returned $2.0 billion to investors achieving an average Return on Investment (ROI) of 2.7x and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 37% per annum (detail provided in Investment Track Record Summary). Each of the Creek companies achieved excellent returns for investors through acquiring and developing conventional and unconventional oil and gas assets located primarily in the Rocky Mountain Region.

Mr. Truitt is the President of Fundare Resources, LLC and is responsible for executing the business plan and running the day-to-day activities of the company. Previously, Mr. Truitt was the Vice President of Engineering at Fifth Creek Energy and oversaw the successful delineation of the Hereford Field and added an additional 25,000 net acres in a six-month span through a combination of acquisitions and an active infield leasing program. After the Fifth Creek Energy merger with Bill Barrett, Mr. Truitt went to Cureton Midstream as the Chief Commercial Officer and led the commercial activities for the company for 2 1/2 years.
Mr. Truitt is the President of Fundare Resources, LLC and is responsible for executing the business plan and running the day-to-day activities of the company.
Scott Landreth is the Chief Financial Officer of Fundare Resources Company, LLC, where he is responsible for all finance matters for the company. Prior to this role, Mr. Landreth was Senior Director of Finance, Investor Relations & Treasurer at Bonanza Creek Energy. His responsibilities at Bonanza Creek included the Company’s credit facility and capital market execution, hedging and risk management, forecasting and strategic planning, budgeting, M&A, and investor relations. He was with Bonanza Creek from May 2014 up until the Company completed mergers with Extraction Oil and Gas and Crestone Peak Resources that ultimately created Civitas Resources in November 2021. Mr. Landreth and Mr. Truitt previously worked together at Bonanza Creek on numerous corporate and business development ventures.
Scott Landreth is the Chief Financial Officer of Fundare Resources Company, LLC, where he is responsible for all finance matters for the company.
Mr. Linhardt is the Vice President of Accounting at Fundare Resources and is responsible for executing the business plan and overseeing accounting and treasury functions of the Company. Recently, Mr. Linhardt was the Vice President of Accounting at RockHouse Oil, LLC. He oversaw the accounting function of the Company and was a key contributor in valuation of business opportunities. Previously, Mr. Linhardt was the Chief Accounting Officer at Fifth Creek Energy and oversaw the accounting, treasury, human resources, purchasing, and information technology departments at the Company. Under his guidance, he ensured the Fifth Creek was SEC compliant for a public exit resulting in the Company executing a merger transaction with Bill Barrett Corporation to form HighPoint Resources.
Mr. Linhardt is the Vice President of Accounting at Fundare Resources and is responsible for executing the business plan and overseeing accounting and treasury functions of the Company.
Mr. Brown has over 10 years of Petroleum Engineering experience and has worked various roles across multiple basins including the DJ, Permian, Uintah, Bakken and Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Brown has held engineering roles of varying responsibility in Production, Operations, and Facilities. He has managed fields ranging from Unconventional Horizontals to Gas wells to Conventional Oil wells using EOR to maximize production. Prior to Fundare he was the Operation Manager at RockHouse Oil, LLC. Previously he worked with Middle Fork Energy Partners as a Sr. Engineer overseeing field production and production operations. Mr. Brown started his own petroleum engineering consultant business where he managed operators drilling and construction operations. Previously he was the Drilling Manager for Fifth Creek Energy preceding its merger with Bill Barrett Corp. Mr. Brown received his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
Mr. Brown has over 10 years of Petroleum Engineering experience and has worked various roles across multiple basins including the DJ, Permian, Uintah, Bakken and Gulf of Mexico.
Ms. Smith is the Director of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Regulatory for Fundare Resources Company, LLC where she is responsible for all permitting, compliance, and safety-related matters for the company. Ms. Smith has held various regulatory and environmental roles in Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, and Utah. Prior to this role, Ms. Smith was the Regulatory Manager for Fifth Creek Energy where she focused on well permitting and environmental matters. Following the Fifth Creek merger with Bill Barrett, Ms. Smith became the Operations Planning and Regulatory Manager for Clear Creek Resources Partners.
Ms. Smith is the Director of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Regulatory for Fundare Resources Company, LLC where she is responsible for all permitting, compliance, and safety-related matters for the company.
Mr. Lockley is the Director of Reservoir Engineering for Fundare Resources, LLC where he is responsible for all reservoir engineering and economic analysis for the company. Prior to this role, Mr. Lockley was Vice President of Subsurface at Bowline Energy, LLC, where he managed reservoir engineering and geology teams. Bowline was ultimately sold to Kraken Oil & Gas in 2022. In addition to his time at Bowline, Mr. Lockley’s 20 years of experience in production, completions, and reservoir engineering roles includes time at Forest Oil and Triangle Petroleum, working assets across East Texas, Arkansas, North Louisiana Haynesville, Southern Louisiana inland water, and North Dakota.
Mr. Lockley is the Director of Reservoir Engineering for Fundare Resources, LLC where he is responsible for all reservoir engineering and economic analysis for the company.
Mr. Stone is the Director of Land for Fundare Resources Company, LLC, where he manages all land matters for the company. Beginning in 2012, Mr. Stone has held various land roles with Bill Barrett Corporation, Fifth Creek Energy and HighPoint Resources. During his tenure, Mr. Stone has assisted in numerous oil and gas transactions, exceeding $1 billion in total value on both the acquisition and divestiture side. Mr. Stone has served as both a Senior Landman and Land Manager for Fundare Resources since 2022.
Mr. Stone is the Director of Land for Fundare Resources Company, LLC, where he manages all land matters for the company.
